Alas, here is my life in italy!

So here is my blog finally, I've been in Italy for 3 months now so i will start with a recap of what has happened thus far. During the first week our program director practically dragged us around milan with our jetlag to all of the best areas of Milan. I have a bitterness towards the first week because while i was so exhausted, I wanted to see everything. The first area we went to was Porta Genova, which is the area that my roommate Catherine and I live in now. Its the most adorable little area with the Naviglie(canal) and tons of restaurants and bars and boutiques. You can imagine what a tease it is for me. Anyways, we hopped around to all of the treasures of each neighborhood.. and no i have not seen 'the last supper' yet!

after 5 mountains of hiking.. we got our first dip in the mediterranean

Since then our class has been on a trip to florence where we were able to go to yarn factories, tight factories, wool factories, and silk factories....it goes on. It was really amazing to see this side of the industry because in the future it will be important to communicate with these companies and explain to them what color and type of yarns i want.
